1. Acceptance of Terms

These terms govern the relationship between Siam Mongkol and any person who uses this website, submits an enquiry, or brings a watch to the workshop for assessment or service. If you do not accept these terms, please do not submit an enquiry or leave a watch in our care.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time services are agreed governs that service relationship.

2. Description of Services

Siam Mongkol provides three categories of watch care service: Standard Mechanical Service, Crystal Replacement and Polishing, and Antique Restoration and Conservation. Each service is described on our Solutions page. The specific scope of work for any individual watch is agreed between Siam Mongkol and the owner prior to commencement, following a written assessment.

We reserve the right to decline to accept a watch for service where, in our assessment, the work would be unsuitable, beyond our current capacity, or where the watch requires specialist attention we cannot appropriately provide.

3. Pricing and Payment

3.1 Service pricing

Listed prices on this website reflect the core service as described. All prices are stated in Thai Baht (฿). The prices applicable at the time of enquiry apply to that service, subject to any additional work identified during the assessment process.

3.2 Additional work

If inspection reveals that additional work or parts are required beyond the original scope, Siam Mongkol will contact the owner with a written explanation and a separate quotation for the additional work. No additional work will be carried out without the owner's written or confirmed agreement.

3.3 Payment terms

Payment is due on collection of the watch. We accept payment in cash (Thai Baht) and by bank transfer. The watch will not be released until payment in full has been received. Where the owner has declined additional work identified during service, the standard service price (less the cost of any declined additional work) remains payable.

4. Turnaround Times

Turnaround estimates are provided at the time of assessment and are approximate. Typical turnaround ranges are: Standard Mechanical Service 2–4 weeks; Crystal Replacement and Polishing 1–3 weeks; Antique Restoration and Conservation 4–10 weeks. These may vary depending on the condition of the watch, the availability of parts, and current workshop capacity.

We will notify the owner if a significant delay is anticipated. Siam Mongkol is not liable for losses arising from delay where circumstances are beyond our reasonable control.

5. Owner's Responsibilities

• The owner confirms they are the rightful owner of any watch left in our care, or that they have authority to authorise work on behalf of the owner.
• The owner is responsible for providing accurate contact information so that we can communicate during the service period.
• The owner should collect the watch within 30 days of being notified that it is ready. After 30 days, a modest storage charge may apply. After 90 days without contact, Siam Mongkol reserves the right to treat the watch as abandoned property under applicable Thai law.
• Any pre-existing damage or condition should be noted at the time of intake. Siam Mongkol will document the condition of each watch at intake; disputes about condition at collection will be assessed against this record.

6. Limitation of Liability

Siam Mongkol takes all reasonable care in handling watches entrusted to us. In the unlikely event that a watch is lost or damaged while in our care and we are found to be at fault, our liability is limited to the reasonable market value of the watch at the time it was received, as agreed between the parties or determined by an independent assessor.

We are not liable for: pre-existing faults that are not attributable to our work; losses arising from a watch not keeping expected time after service where the movement has aged components; consequential, indirect, or financial losses.

Owners are encouraged to arrange their own insurance for watches of significant value prior to bringing them to the workshop.

7. Service Warranty

Standard Mechanical Service carries a 90-day warranty on the regulation of the movement. If the watch's timekeeping rate departs significantly from the rate recorded at the end of service within this period under normal use and handling, Siam Mongkol will investigate and, where the departure is attributable to the service work, carry out a review or adjustment without charge.

The service warranty does not cover damage caused by dropping, water ingress, unauthorised adjustment by third parties, or physical shock after the watch leaves our care. It does not extend to the crystal, case, or bracelet. The Antique Restoration and Conservation service warranty covers movement function and is agreed on a case-by-case basis at the time of service.

8. Cancellation and Withdrawal

An owner may withdraw a watch from service at any stage before work has commenced, without charge. Once work has commenced, a proportionate charge reflecting the work completed to that point is payable on collection.

Where additional work has been proposed and the owner declines it, the watch will be returned at the conclusion of the agreed original service. Work already completed is payable at the agreed rate.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms or the services provided by Siam Mongkol shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts. We will always attempt to resolve disagreements informally in the first instance.
